Hey Reader

Big Halloween 🎃 plans can mean BIG emotions. As our kids are overstimulated, staying emotionally regulated becomes more of a challenge. Giving kids the vocabulary to validate their feelings helps them know that they are normal and it is going to be ok.

We have been working on this for a while and our favorite new tool is LuvBug Learning.

We had an opportunity to try out LuvBug Learning and it was such a hit 🎯!

This app offers six games with multiple themes that help your child learn about social-emotional skills as well as supplemental videos for extra support when needed - all without advertisements or in app purchases.

The characters even shoot luv bombs❤️.

It takes concepts like emotions and makes them more concrete using examples the kids can understand. Kids learn how to recognize other people's feelings, gain awareness of their own feelings, as well as other social-emotional skills.

Helping to grow their skill set, so when the Halloween costume👻 they wanted is sold out, you may get out of the store without a complete meltdown.

This is a great way to use screen time to actually help your kiddo grow. If you don't know much about emotional intelligence, check out the benefits below.

Benefits of Social Emotional Skills

  • Schools report improved academic scores
  • Kids report feeling happier and possess a more balanced outlook, while building a larger circle of friends
  • Parents report kids are able to unpack anger, frustration & sadness and more easily attain resolution
  • Parents report improved resilience, focus, self-awareness & self-moderation

There is also a great parent dashboard with parental controls and giving you a peak so you can get an idea of where your little one may need extra support.

Ready to check out the app for yourself?

Hello Reader, As winter sets in, it’s that time of year when we all want to stay cozy indoors and catch up on important things, especially when it comes to our kids’ education. It’s crucial for various fields and future career opportunities. But let’s be realistic; it should be accessible and achievable for everyone. If you’ve been...

Well, fall's rolling in, and at my place, that's the cue for a mad dash to catch up on the stuff the kids (and, okay, me too) might've let slide during the summer. For a pair of my little rascals, math's always the sticking point. You know, wearing my scientist hat, it kinda stings to see kiddos missing out on a solid math foundation. I've seen up close how that plays out for college students. Math's the backbone for so many fields and dream jobs out there. Getting the hang of it is crucial,...
